AP070(1) Scope

The subcommittee is concerned with public transportation applications for self-propelled rail cars using on-board sources of motive power (commonly known as Diesel Multiple Units or “DMUs”) in the North American transport network. Motive power may be diesel internal combustion engines or an alternative self-contained, on-board source. Fields of exploration relate to operations, economics, technology, regulation, and implementation.
